Art and music have been the defining threads of my life. I began as an art major in college, but an opportunity in the music industry led to a 40-year career as a musician, producer, and composer. After retiring, I returned to painting and found myself drawn naturally to the instruments that had surrounded me throughout my life.

 

My paintings celebrate the craftsmanship, character, and visual beauty of musical instruments—their distinctive forms, intricate details, textures, and the interplay of light and shadow. At the same time, I’m interested in the memories, emotions, and sounds these objects can evoke. Through photorealistic painting, I strive not simply to reproduce an instrument, but to capture its personality and bring it to life on canvas.
